Rabbits have been a long established favourite pet in hutches and gardens around the country but as we learn more about their very interesting behaviour and playfulness we are now inviting them into our homes as ‘house-rabbits’.
Some owners are developing such a bond with their rabbits that they can actually train them in a way you would normally associate with dogs; running them over agility courses, and such-like.
As vets, we are also learning a lot more about their various ailments, how we can treat them and how you can prevent them. For example, many diseases in rabbits can be prevented by simply ensuring you feed them the correct diet.
We hope that the pages in this section give you some answers to questions you may have about how rabbits are best looked after, fed and housed.
